Castleblayney Cancer Society held their A.G.M. in the Glencarn hotel on Thursday 13th March. The chairperson Mairead Mc Guinness welcomed everyone present to the 24th A.G.M.

Prior to commencing the business of the meeting the Chairperson paid tribute to the late Kathleen O Connor R.I.P.who was a supporter and fundraiser for the society.

This year the Flora Women's Mini Marathon takes place on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd June. Registration for this year's event opens on Wed 19th February.

The family and friends of the late Una Cunningham held their 3rd Golf Classic in her memory at Concra Golf Club last May and raised a staggering €11,750. Believe it or not I hear in the grapevine that Owen and his amazing organising committee are planning the next one to take place in May 2014.
